Giovan, Giuseppe and Sarah Calapai


Bella Restaurant was founded in 1998 by restaurateur Giuseppe Calapai . Giuseppe Calapai was born in Messina, Italy. His love of food and desire to seethe world drew him to the Italian Cruise Line "The Oceanic". Ten years later Giuseppe found his home in America in a little place called Providence,Rhode Island. It was there that he used all of his experience and worldly knowledge to turn a dream of owning a restaurant into reality. He opened hisfirst restaurant on Federal Hill named "The Blue Grotto ", he then continued on to open "Gustaves" at the Valley Country Club in West Warwick,"Gio's Pasta & Grill" in Coventry and" Bella Restaurant" in Burrillville.Giuseppe's recipe for a successful restaurant is good food, excellent service and a meticulous environment.
Bella is a family owned and operated restaurant. Restaurant operations are looked over by Giuseppe Calapai who has been in the business for over 30 years.His son Giovan Calapai is the Owner / Executive Chef and daughter Sarah Calapai is the Banquet Coordinator and office manager. The Calapai family takes pride in their reputation for providing exceptional service; and is dedicated to serving meals like mamaused to make at prices papa likes to pay!
